Coverage Period: 3 days per week from credentialing




Operational Schedule: Clinics operate 7 days a week, 8 AM to 8 PM; shifts will last 12+ hours, contingent on patient volume. Providers are expected to attend to all patients presenting during operational hours.



Provider Requirements: 3 full-time providers (3 shifts per week per provider, totaling 9 shifts weekly)




Practice Setting: Clinic-based




Patient Demographics: Comprehensive range, from neonates to geriatric patients, varying by specific clinic and day.




Care Type Distribution: 100% outpatient services



Average Daily Patient Volume: Fluctuates based on clinic specifics; ranges from 25 to 50 patients per day, with increased numbers anticipated during cold and flu seasons.



Trauma Level: Facilities are equipped for episodic care; higher acuity cases necessitate transfer to higher-level care facilities (e.g., ED, ER).



Essential Duties and Procedures:




- Laceration repair (simple, intermediate, and complex suturing/stapling)



- Incision and drainage (I&D), including packing



- Foreign body removal




- Minor burn care
- Skin lesion management



- Orthopedic stabilization (splinting and casting, joint reduction)




- Diagnostic and point-of-care testing
- Interpretation of X-rays and electrocardiograms (EKG)




- Point-of-care lab result interpretation (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose)




- Management of epistaxis (anterior nasal packing, chemical cautery)




- Cerumen impaction removal



- Airway support, including nebulizer administration and initial emergency stabilization

Shift Overview:
- 12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM; 3 shifts per week per provider



Mandatory Qualifications:
- Board Certification (Required)




- Current Virginia medical license (Required)




- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)




- Valid DEA registration (Required)



- Minimum 1 year of experience in an ED, ER, primary care, or urgent care setting (Required)



- Clean professional background with no malpractice or licensing issues (Required)




- Client stipulates no travel reimbursement; only local candidates or inclusive rates accepted (Required)
