Coverage Details:
- Dates of Coverage: 3 days per week, commencing upon credentialing
- Operational Schedule: Clinics operate 7 days a week from 0800 to 2000 hours. Shifts will exceed 12 hours as dictated by patient volume, with the expectation of attending to all patients presenting during these operational hours.
Provider Requirements:
- Number of Providers Needed: 3 Full-Time positions (3 shifts per week each, totaling 9 shifts weekly).
Practice Environment:
- Setting: Clinic
- Patient Demographics: The patient population encompasses all ages (from birth to geriatrics) and may fluctuate on a daily basis across different clinics.
- Patient Type Distribution: 100% outpatient care.
- Average Patient Volume: Daily patient counts range from 25 to 50, with potential increases as the cold and flu season approaches.
- Trauma Level: Clinics manage episodic care; cases of higher acuity must be referred to appropriate higher-level care facilities (ED/ER).
Clinical Responsibilities and Competencies:
Required procedures include, but are not limited to:
- Laceration Repair: Ability to perform simple, intermediate, and complex suturing/stapling.
- Incision and Drainage (I&D): Includes packing and foreign body removal.
- Minor Burn Management and Skin Lesion Care.
- Orthopedic interventions such as stabilization, splinting, casting, and joint reduction.
- Diagnostic testing including Point-of-Care Testing and X-Ray interpretation.
- Electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluation and Point-of-Care lab interpretation (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose).
- Management of epistaxis via anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery (silver nitrate).
- Cerumen impaction removal.
- Airway management, including nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization.

- Estimated Timeline for Credentialing: 60 to 90 days

- Shifts are from 0800 to 2000 hours, lasting 12 hours or more based on patient flow requirements; 3 shifts per week.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Board Certification (Required)
- Active Virginia License (Required)
- Current BLS Certification (Required)
- Active DEA Registration (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting (Required)
- Clean professional background with no malpractice or licensing issues—no exceptions (Required)
