Description
This role is well-suited for a physician with associate-level experience who is ready to provide expert diagnostic imaging services within our Medical Practice environment.
As a Locum Radiology MD, you will deliver accurate and timely interpretations of imaging studies, collaborate with referring clinicians, and support high-quality patient care across our practice. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and clinical excellence of our radiology department, helping us meet the growing needs of the community.
Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic images including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians
- Consult with medical colleagues on complex or urgent cases
- Ensure compliance with medical standards and safety protocols
- Utilize radiology information systems and PACS technology efficiently
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Maintain comprehensive and precise patient documentation
- Communicate findings clearly to patients and healthcare professionals when required
- Adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines in all clinical activities
- Support coverage needs within the practice as a contract physician
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
- Associate-level professional experience in radiology
- Valid and current state medical license
- Board certification or active eligibility in Radiology
- Strong proficiency in diagnostic image interpretation
- Familiarity with PACS and medical imaging software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, on-site clinical environment
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing case volumes and clinical priorities
Schedule: 7a-4p, weekday or weekend shifts
Daily Volume: 75 RVUs per day
Must be board-certified
