Description



This on-site, contract position offers an exciting opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide exceptional patient care while working within a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.



As a Locum MD (Ob/Gyn), you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive women's health services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecological procedures, and patient consultations. You will work alongside a team of skilled medical professionals committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety in a thriving medical practice setting.



Responsibilities



  • Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum management
  • Perform gynecological examinations, diagnostics, and minimally invasive procedures
  • Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system
  • Manage labor and delivery, including emergency obstetric interventions as needed
  • Conduct patient consultations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
  • Adhere to all medical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide coverage as required by the contract


Requirements



  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology or a related clinical setting
  • Strong clinical skills in both obstetric and gynecological care
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based medical practices
  • Ability to manage emergency situations with composure and sound judgment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required


Schedule: Monday-Friday



Call: 1:6 rotation



Setting: Clinic and inpatient



Daily Outpatient Volume: 25-30 patients



Average Daily Deliveries: 6



Required Procedures: IUD insertion and L&D coverage



Support Staff: Ultrasound technicians, medical assistant, RN, NP, and MFM physicians



EMR: Epic



Must be board-eligible or board-certified
