As a Locum Primary Care Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical services to patients of all ages. You'll work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction. This role is ideal for an Associate-level physician seeking flexibility and meaningful impact within a supportive medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical assessments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate treatment protocols
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients on preventive care, health maintenance, and wellness strategies
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care when needed
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations, protocols, and ethical standards
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care
- Associate-level experience in primary care or related medical practice
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site, fast-paced medical environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
Daily Volume: Up to 10 per day, including some possible telehealth appointments
Will treat chronic medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, angina, and pain
EMR: CPRS
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
