This on-site, contract position is ideal for an associate-level professional who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered women’s healthcare within a dynamic medical practice.



As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you will deliver comprehensive care across the full spectrum of obstetrics and gynecology, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological services. Working alongside physicians, nurses, and support staff, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care for our patients. Responsibilities



  • Provide comprehensive prenatal care, including routine assessments and patient education.
  • Manage labor and delivery, assisting with deliveries and responding to obstetric emergencies.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout pregnancy and identify potential risks.
  • Perform routine gynecological exams, screenings, and preventive care procedures.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and laboratory panels.
  • Prescribe medications and implement treatment plans in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on family planning, contraception, menopause, and overall wellness.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in electronic health records.
  • Provide postpartum care and breastfeeding support to new mothers.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely availability for urgent obstetric needs.
  • Adhere to all medical practice policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.


Requirements



  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
  • Active and unrestricted registered nurse and nurse midwife licensure in the applicable state.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Nurse Midwifery or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Associate-level clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with demonstrated competency in core midwifery skills.
  • Strong knowledge of prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological care standards.
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation.
  • Composure and sound judgment in high-pressure clinical situations.
  • Flexibility to accommodate on-site contract scheduling, including possible weekends and holidays.
  • Current CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
  • Commitment to providing culturally sensitive, evidence-based, and compassionate care.


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p



Call: Weeknight and weekend beeper call



Setting: Inpatient & outpatient



70 beds



Annual Volume: 420 births



Must be board-certified
