About this role

Position Overview: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)



Contract Duration: Late September for 3 months, with potential extension as necessary.




Work Environment: Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center.




Clinical Responsibilities: Anesthesia administration across various specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Head and Neck, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT, and Obstetrics.



Primarily adult patients; no cardiac cases or pediatrics anticipated. While OB experience is not mandatory, it is highly preferred due to the requirements of permanent staff.




Shift and Scheduling Details:
- Scheduled shifts will vary, comprising a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts, alongside 12-hour shifts specifically for obstetric cases.




- Ability to commit to 1-2 weekends per month is preferred, with compensatory days off during the week.




- Flexibility in scheduling is essential.




On-call Requirements: No on-call duties.




Patient Volume and Staffing:
- Patient acuity and volume will fluctuate based on room assignments.




- Staffing model includes a 1:3 provider-to-patient ratio under MD supervision.




Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC.




Credentialing Process: Estimated to take approximately 60 days from the submission of the application.




Required Certifications: Board Certification as a CRNA, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).



Note that while PALS is preferred, exceptions may be made, considering pediatric cases are not anticipated.
